Tara Mandalaywala

Dr. Tara Mandalaywala is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She directs the Cognition Across Development Lab (The CAD Lab)where they explore how children develop beliefs about the people around them. In particular, she examines how the caregivers and neighborhoods that children grow up with shape how they begin to think about others in terms of their gender, race, or social status. She has a Ph.D from the University of Chicago, and completed postdoctoral training at NYU as a Postdoctoral Fellow. When she's not working, Dr. Mandalaywala loves reading and playing with human and cat babies.
