Chandra Ford

Dr. Chandra Ford is Associate Professor of Community Health Sciences and Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Racism, Social Justice and Health at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California at Los Angeles. She is lead editor of "Racism: Science & Tools for the Public Health Professional". Most of her research falls into two broad areas: (1) empirical research examining the relationship between specific forms of racism and disparities in HIV diagnosis and care; and, (2) conceptual and methodological work to improve the tools available for studying racism as a public health issue.
