Andrea is Chinese American, daughter to immigrants from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, and currently resides in Ann Arbor, MI. She is a facilitator for EmbraceRace’s Color-Brave community, where she facilitates cohorts of learning and practice for parents, caregivers, and educators for children 0-8.

Andrea has a wonderful partner and four rambunctious smiley-eyed Asian American children who are her deepest joys and best accomplishments. She is deeply committed to redeeming systems of racial injustice for her kids and the future of all other kids.

Previous to having children, Andrea was a campus chaplain at various universities around the Midwest, teaching and training undergraduate students to grapple with the intersections of race, leadership, justice, and faith. She holds dual degrees from The Ohio State University and is always proud to represent the Buckeyes!
